Job Overview:

As a Backend Developer Intern, you will be responsible for developing scalable, efficient, and high-quality backend solutions in Node.js. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure that our backend infrastructure is reliable, secure, and well-documented. A strong understanding of writing and executing unit tests will be crucial for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and maintain backend solutions using Node.js.
Write clean, reusable, and efficient code with an emphasis on performance and scalability.
Design and implement RESTful APIs for seamless communication between the frontend and backend.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high code quality standards.
Write, execute, and maintain unit tests to ensure robust and reliable code.
Work closely with frontend developers and other team members to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems to enhance performance.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in backend development and testing.

Requirements:

Experience: 1-2 years of experience with backend development, specifically in Node.js.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
- Hands-on experience with version control (Git).
- Solid understanding of writing and executing unit tests, preferably with frameworks like Mocha, Jest, or Chai.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-Have:
