We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Vice President of Engineering with deep expertise in .NET technologies to lead our Engineering team. As the VP of Engineering at Kiru, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technical strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of our cutting-edge payment solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership: Provide strategic leadership to engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Product Development: Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of software solutions.

Technical Excellence: Maintain the highest standards of technical excellence, quality, and security in our payment platform.
Innovation: Drive technological innovation and research within the organization, staying current with emerging technologies.
Project Management: Implement effective project management processes, including Agile methodologies, to ensure efficient and on-time project delivery.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and operations, to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
Budget Management: Manage the engineering budget, ensuring resource optimization and cost-effectiveness.
Mentoring: Mentor and develop engineering talent, promoting professional growth and technical expertise.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a VP of Engineering or in a senior engineering leadership role within a fintech or payment company.
Strong background in software engineering, with expertise in designing and building scalable and secure payment systems.
In-depth knowledge of current and emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the payment industry.
Proficiency in .NET technologies, including ASP.NET, .NET Core, and C#.
Experience with modern web developments like ReactJS for web front-end development.
Knowledge of mobile development for iOS and Android platforms.
Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with systems monitoring and automated testing as processes, ensuring we have what we need to detect issues as we deploy and A/B test code.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.

Desired Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).
Previous experience in the payments or fintech industry, with knowledge of current and emerging trends
Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.(with preference for Azure)
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies.
Experience with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
Competence in Azure ARM templates and Amazon CloudFormation templates for cloud infrastructure.
Expertise in implementing secure backend environments with network isolation, VPN access, and compliance with regulatory standards.
